The Four Way Test of the Things We Think, Say or Do
1 Is it the TRUTH?
2 Is it FAIR To All Concerned?
3 Will it build GOODWILL and Better FRIENDSHIPS?
4 Will it be BENEFICIAL to All Concerned?

Last Week:

Guests – none, the wheel honored nobody. Kelley Heal and President Norm were the losers for today.

Cynthia Hill introduced Samara Oliveria from Brazil, her exchange student, who gave us some insight

into her home and country.

GEORGE AND WILMA ARE BACK!!!

This Week:

Woody Thrasher will update us on White Oaks.

News and Announcements:

President Norm announced that eight Rotarians attended the Naturalization Ceremony on April  18th, with

a Rotary-sponsored reception immediately after for the twenty-seven new citizens and their guests.

Mike Forinash, Garland Walker, Perry Cain and Bob Rector placed service above self to represent us in the

annual Rotary “Ellis Vest” Golf Tournament last week.

The Board has approved a grant of $500 for a Harrison County Student Achievement scholarship to be

awarded to a graduating senior. A video presentation by Kelly Miller graduate and historic WWII Tuskegee

Airman Thomas H. Mayfield will be the highlight of the scholarship event (and also our program on May 7).

President Norm will convene a Board meeting today right after the regular meeting to consider a new member

application.

Special meeting, Saturday, May 17, 2008. We will meet for breakfast at a restaurant to be determined, at 9:30 or

10:00 am. Meals are on your own. We will gather at Stealey Park at 11:00 am and work with the kids (and adults)

in the Mayor's Youth Council in the neighborhood cleanup. The City supplies the tools and garbage bags. Members

should bring gloves. The regular meeting on May 21 is cancelled.

Also, save the date of Saturday, June 7th for our Club Family Picnic.

SAVE THE DATE: RID 7530 District Conference May 2,3,4 at Bridgeport Conference Center.

We will need a BIG BIG turnout by our members and spouses! Registration material has been emailed to all.
